A ham and roast beef sandwich (on a baguette quickly toasted in the oven) with potato bacon soup.
Freshly cracked black pepper normally goes amazingly well with any creme-based soup like this one, but unfortunately we were all out of black peppercorns. I keep telling myself to go out and get some. But that was the only hitch in the entire meal; otherwise, it was simple, good, and very satisfying.
