My mom and sister brought me home leftovers from California Pizza Kitchen: roasted garlic chicken pizza and Waldorf salad.
I'm not crazy about white pizza, so I thought it was only so-so. The chicken and onions were pretty good, but more than anything, I really missed the acidity of the tomato sauce. But the salad was amazing. The walnuts were candied, so they were sweet and extra-crunchy. The grapes and apples were fresh, very crisp and clean. They paid a little extra to get some slices of avocado on top, so that was nice. And the Gorgonzola cheese was very sharp and had a lot of bite to it, which I think is what really made the salad.
For dessert, mint chocolate chip ice cream.
